About
I’VE LEARNED ABOUT PERFORMANCE FROM VERY DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENTS
Professional rugby taught me what it takes to perform under pressure.
But it was also one of the most structured environments imaginable. And retiring was the opposite.
Suddenly the structure disappeared, the path wasn’t clear and I had to learn how to perform while everything around me was changing.
That experience has shaped how I think about leadership and performance.
Today, I help leaders and teams perform through their own periods of change and uncertainty.
SPORT TAUGHT ME PRESSURE.
KPMG TAUGHT ME CHANGE.
RETIREMENT TAUGHT ME BOTH.
I spent more than a decade playing professional rugby, including 72 Tests for the Wallabies, where performing under pressure was part of the job.
After rugby, I worked in KPMG’s People & Change team, where I saw how organisations navigate change from the inside.
Since then, I’ve built businesses, co-founded Running for Resilience and worked with leaders and teams across government, defence and professional services.
Those experiences now shape my work.
Now I help leaders understand how pressure affects their state and judgement, so they can keep making good decisions while the environment around them is changing.
